Trade Policy - The Keystone of Americanism (Protectionism). An average 40% tariff should be implemented on all manufactured goods being imported into the United States if there is a domestic industry in that same product. This simple international sales tax, which asks foreign corporations and governments to simply pay for the valuable access to our enormous consumer market, will accomplish the following:
It establishes a boundary for the division of labor and protects not only labor, but in fact returns the United States to a free market economy, rather than a shared hybrid economic system and division of labor with communists, fascists, socialists, social democracies, dictatorships, and other foreign systems.
It will stop the overburdening of taxpayers to fund the health care system, education, infrastructure, military, welfare and other social programs.
It will protect domestic industry from unfair foreign competition, including subsidized dumping of products and labor arbitrage.
It will stop the massive increases in foreign ownership and control of U.S. Corporations, U.S. Real Estate, and U.S. Debt, and it will slow and eventually reverse the enormous political influence that foreigners have over American elections.
It will reduce or eliminate the need for income tax.
It will shrink the power of the Federal Reserve Bank and reduce or eliminate the Federal Budget Deficit
It will immediately cause an increase in domestic per capita, capital investment per worker; which is the driver of economic growth and the cause of increased wage rates and standards of living.
It will make impossible any attempt to form a North American Union, shared security agreement, or any attempts at expanding global government.
It will NOT increase prices in relation to wages, and will NOT increase nominal prices except in the immediate short run (as foreigner corporations utilize pricing power as a POLITICAL tool rather than a market reaction)
Border Security and Immigration Reform The first duty of an elected official in the Federal Government is to protect American citizens from foreign interference. The border must be defended, by military force if necessary, and immigration laws must be enforced. No amnesty should be given to foreign workers, and corporations that knowingly utilize illegals for labor must be penalized and stopped. Immigration should be orderly and controlled, but should not be stopped. Legal immigration, as regulated by Congress, should continue.
